Yesterday was the least productive writing day for me since October, after interrupted sleep Sunday night I managed just 500 words and an evening or mindless tube watching with a tv that has no tubes.

I’m not naming names but not on of my conservative friends online or otherwise has spoken one word about the attempts to subvert our democracy but many have had plenty to say about ‘cancel culture.’ That seems pretty plain.
Your statement of “my conservative friends rant about…” seemed to be making a very direct (as well as very garbled) accusation against one or more unnamed personal friends. Is that your intent?
It’s quite simple really during the cold war we were told we were defending the free world from communism.
This very day more than 100 GOP member of the House and a dozen or more Senator are going to stand for overthrowing an election that was free, fair, and legitimate for the ego of one man. As long as they have gotten their low tax rates, anti-abortion judges and are free to buy the firearms that they want conservatives are perfectly happy to throw aside the constitution for their own selfish goals.

My confusion is over trying to figure out what you meant. I can not make any sense out of your statement.
