I must say I prefer this version to the film script version. This is cleaner with a better storyline. Oggie-Boogie was always problematic in my book.

If I just closed my eyes and listened, it would still freakin work. It’s a cool ass poem.
I suppose what you say true enough about the movie story. But it’s the music and animation which sold The Nightmare Before Christmas more than the story. And the romance subplot is what made the movie very very popular with girls.
Even this poem used images and music from the movie. How dry would it be with just a plain reading?
